Strange? That's how I have mine configured too. I haven't got to play with the Dkv Browser yet, so I'm not that familiar with it's inter workings. I'm not sure it would run on my Microsoft Surface tablet - which is what I use as my primary web surfing device. Does it use the same two ports as the PRC-100? 

Another thought is that your phone may be blocking those ports when connected to a WiFi connection with internet capabilities. Do you have a firewall type app on your phone?
