Re: [disklavier] DKC850 Network connection with iMac

2013-08-21 by Alain P

Yes Internet access for the dkc850 is working fine : radio and firmware update option both working very well.

And in some settings try outs on the iMac I have seen coming up the dkc850 unit with its folder FromToPc but it cannot be open... And also the dkcbrowser application is able yo find the dkc850 and can even lists its content ( that content though cannot be modified). And lastly with the iPhone e3 controller I can operate the dkc850...
So what is missing cannot be much.. But what?

Good afternoon, everyone.

tintinlad320, are you able to access the Internet update feature on the DKC-850 to verify that you have both a working network connection and the latest firmware? Can you access the free channel on Disklavier Radio?

If not, there is an issue with the connection of the DKC-850 to your home network.

On the other hand, if the basic Internet function of the piano is working, the problem lies somewhere else.

Are you trying to access the From/To PC folder from a computer?

Or are you trying to run the Disklavier Remote app on an iOS device?

In my own case, my DKC-850 firmware is up to date, and I can access the control unit from my iPhone. However, I cannot mount the DKC-850 on the desktop of either of 2 Macs, one of which is running the latest OS X 10.7 and the other is running the latest OS X 10.8. The DKC-850 does show up in the sidebar of my Finder, however; I just can't open it.
