I have not used DKVBrowser very much, but I did do a brief test on a Mac, running OS X 10.7, and can report the following:
You can navigate the list of available song files within DKVBrowser and select any one of them by clicking once on the file. However, clicking once does not load the selected song as the "current" song. At this point, if you click the Play button, you'll hear playback of whatever previous song is currently shown as the current song just above the play button.
In order to play the song that you have selected, you must double-click the song name in the list in order to make it the current song. At that point, the Play button should work for that song. Alternatively, you can right-click (or Control-click) the song that you want to play and then select Play from a mini menu that appears.

Sent from iPhoneI haven't heard of that particular problem with DKVBrowser. Especially with a dkc850 since there's no separate database... If you can see it you should be able to play it...
