Disklaviers are warranted for 5 years.  Anytime Yamaha comes up with 
something new, it is usually backwards compatible.

The difference between the DC2 and the DC3 is the hammer and key sensors.  
The smaller pianos, GH1B, C1 and C2 have only key sensors for recording; the 
C3 and larger pianos use key sensors AND hammer sensors.

No matter which DKV you choose, you will enjoy it for the rest of your life 
- and for the price of a car no less!
