You could try the MIDI utilities on Günter Nagler's web site.
http://www2.iicm.edu/Cpub
Look for midi1to0.zip about half-way down under "Free MIDI programs". If
you know how to unzip the zip file then you should not have any problem
reading the plain-text doc file that describes how to use it. The version
I have has the following "usage" description.
usage: midi1to0 [-quiet] [-exact] srcfile.mid dstfile.mid
-quiet be quiet, don't tell percentage
-exact solve merging tracks with conflicting channel by
refreshing all track parameters before playing notes
midi1to0 merges channels into one track
This program only converts format 1 midi files.
Of course, this program should be run in a "DOS" command prompt window.

Subject: [disklavier] Piano Disc Convervsion
I am sure most of you know the answer to the question I am about to
ask. Part of my problem is I am not a computer whiz-however, I can
get around but am far from an expert.
First of all I have a Piano Disc 128 Plus Silent Drive System
installed in a late 1800's.
My question is how do I convert Midi 1 to Midi O, which is the only
Midi the Piano Disc system plays. I have downloaded some of piano
music on the member site but have been unable to play much of it on
my piano.
I have already downloaded the utility suggested to convert the Midi 1
to O, but can't open it.
I would appreciate any simple instructions you might provide.
Thanks for you help.
