Since you have a Yamaha floppy with your DKC-850, I don't understand the problem you are having. If it is an issue of having a backup on hand, then copy the data from the Yamaha floppy drive to the DKC-850 Internal memory. Now the floppy is your backup copy. If you want another backup copy, do an E3 backup to a USB thumbdrive. Now you have two backups of the floppy data.
