might need to fight this out on the phone. i looked at the site you gave but only see how to download the files not how to stream them so i have no idea how to intercept the stream.
if these files are all from the Yamaha E-Comp files, why not just use the files from Yamaha and convert them as needed. I have a zip file of all the E-Comp stuff with metadata added as text events and i think i also have the needed tag.txt files to make files with mid2pianoCD with MP3 tags. not sure if your DKV will like MP3 files.

mapping between hardware and virtual devices is done with midi yoke. i think you need to get that and install it separately but it is part of midiox. once you have midi yoke installed you will have a whole bunch of virtual midi ports that can be set as inputs or outputs. it might be possible to do what you need without midi ox but i usually find it necessary when using software MIDI devices. once you have midi yoke installed you will see all the yokes as available output in VanBascos. Sequencers etc will see the yokes as inputs as well.
if you think midiox is confusing wait until you start playing with yokes too :)

get midiox and install it. the help file explains how to do it but it is difficult to find. use the search function in the help window and search for data mapping. you can bring up the data mapping window from the little icon that looks like two notes with an arrow between them. it is really difficult to find if you are icon blind as i am. anyway once you get to this window you can set a map to move controllers from any channel to channel 3.

No, I have a Mark II (MPX100II) that has no use for MP3 files. I just play piano MIDI files from computer, sometimes multi-track files using a virtual synth (sample tank) in computer for non-piano sounds.
I have a Yamaha MIDI module and powered speaker that came with the DKV, but haven't had the inclination to set it up for additional sounds as the computer samples are probably better.
