Something else occurred to me that you might wish to check:  There is a small
ribbon cable connector coming from the treble side of the keyboard action that
should be engaged.  To get to it, you need only remove the fall board by
grasping the open edge and lifting it straight up.  (When the action is removed
and re-inserted, reconnecting that plug is sometimes overlooked.)
