Julien, let me know. I believe if you make a recording pushing pedal down and letting it come up many times, and then play it back and get under the piano, you will see where the metallic noise is coming from.

That noise should not be there. Notice the rod in shape of an "L". This piece is only needed when the pedal lyre is removed from the piano. It appears that metal on the black wooden lever is coming down and hitting this L.

If the L is not coming out of the keybed at 90 degrees then bend it so it is. If that doesn't give enough clearance when the lever returns to rest, then turn it counter clockwise so the drops lower. You may have to make 1 or 2 360 degree turns to lower it enough.
