Good morning, everyone. Ed, a few questions and suggestions: What 2 programs are you trying? What MIDI interface did you get? In both cases, do these applications show your new interface as an available MIDI Input and Output device? (If so, I am assuming that you have chosen the interface for MIDI input.) With the new interface, do both programs successfully send MIDI data to the piano and its tone generator? If everything is connected, configured, and working correctly except that your piano is not sending MIDI data to these apps, then I recommend double-checking these items: (1) Verify that you can record a piece on your Disklavier. If successful, we know that the piano is sensing your playing. (2) Disklavier MIDI Out = Keyboard Out (3) MIDI Out Channel = 1. (4) MIDI Out Prg = ### (6) MIDI Out Vol. = ### (7) MIDI Out Split set to [OFF] (8) MIDI toggle switch on the back of the control unit is set to MIDI. If your apps still do not receive MIDI data when you play the keys, try playing an ensemble recording from disk (i.e. recording with both piano and ensemble parts) and see if the applications respond to anything. If you still fail, call Yamaha Piano Service: (800) 854-1569 between 8:30-5:00 PST on workdays. Regards and happy Thanksgiving, PianoBench > On Nov 26, 2015, at 9:15 AM, zzzdcline@...
