Oh and btw I always wanted a mahogany U3 Disklavier too for my own front room or the work, right now we have a 1989 Yamaha satin Mahogany MX100A very nice piano though. Your right most of the upright disklaviers are U1 sizes ,here in Scotland I saw a 2004 DU1A with the MK III system on it with the CD drive. It's very difficult to find a U3 variety as I think they only ever sold them in Japan as the HQ300 and other model names, to find a mahogany example is even more difficult, heck a standard Yamaha anything in mahogany is rare as hens teeth. I currently have a 1989 Yamaha G2B Disklavier with the big wagon PPG-10R unit connected to the piano. Yet I saw Richard Lawson Pianos who has U3 Disklaviers had a Mahogany G1 Disklavier almost the same as mine except it is 5 inches smaller and in mahogany instead of black like mines. I would REALLY Like a U3 in polished mahogany, but seems most uprights are black. Regardless, looked at a 1996 U1 disklavier today in Toronto, but the control system would not power. It has been in storage for 10yrs, unwrapped and when we tried, both myself and the owner heard a click. It would appear that there is NO Vcc on the system board up top, there is a transistor which may have failed, or maybe the aged electrolytic around it. I can troubleshoot, but looking for a schematic to do this properly. Piano is in very good condition, I expect this is a simple power supply failure but need information carefully determine for certain. Peter
