Disklavier

Hi All,  
After successfully connecting my disklavier to record midi on my pc,  I have found a strange thing happening with the pedal input.  
Instead of recording one clear 'pedal down'  event it seems to detect around 7 'pedal down'  movements.   I have read somewhere that it's called pedal bounce... (? ) 
Is there any reason why this would happen?  It creates a lot of confusion and complication when rendering midi files to virtual piano ...
Is there a way to rectify this?
