Disklavier

Good morning, everyone.

Jonathan, I use Digital Performer from Mark of the Unicorn as my sequencer for the Mac. And it frequently use it to record and playback with my Disklavier.

DP is an industrial strength program and an appropriate price tag. Without knowing your needs, I can’t say that it is the right program for you.

I have sometimes helped Mac users trouble-shoot issues with Logic from Apple. I don’t own that program, and it seems rather difficult to me. Cubase, from Steinberg, might be another option for your, and Cubase LE is bundled with certain audio products from Yamaha, I believe. Reason from Propellerheads would be another option.

Metro, form Sagan Technology, is one of the lower priced but still full featured sequencers for the Mac.

To the best of knowledge, none of the above-mentioned programs have a playlist feature, and I don’t know if such a feature is even important to you.

An internet search for the terms:

mac midi sequencer

should bring up shareware programs of varied quality.

Keep in mind that I am only a user of DP.
