Re: [disklavier] Mark IV iso image

2016-05-25 by Kevin Goroway

Dmitry,
Please contact me directly off the list. I have managed to build DKVBrowser native for linux.gtk.x86 and linux.gtk.x86_64. I no longer have a good way to test these (I used to dual boot ubuntu, but it's been a while.)
I presume no one else cares enough about this to keep it on the list...but if you do, please move requests over to the DKVBrowser yahoo group, instead of this one.
Thanks.-Kevin

Hi Kevin!!!! First of all - thank you so much for such a program - just realized you are the author!!!I tried. But I could not run in linux - I could not find a proper jar file and a class to run. Tried several of them without a luck. In Wine it didn't work for me unfortunately.I would really appreciate if you can remember the steps to run in linux but if it takes too much time for you I will try to spend some time tomorrow but right now I just don't know what else to try.Thank you, Dmitry

Dkvbrowser used to run natively Linux. With some effort, I could probably revive that. Let me know if wine doesn't work out... On May 23, 2016 11:47 PM, "Dmitry dmitryos@... [disklavier]" <disklavier@yahoogroups.com> wrote:

     Hi guys,
I'm using linux at home and android on my tablet. Just still trying to configure my Wine properly to run DKVBrowser on it... Still under process...
Also want to try Kevin's suggestion with Java later today.
Thank you!Dmitry

     Dear DKV Group,
I would have to agree that DKVBrowser is by far the best application that I have ever used to control my Mark IV Disklavier. It continues to be unsurpassed in its reign.
Kudos to Kevin!

Best regards,
Jaggi
