Good morning, everyone. Joe, I dug out my iPad 2, which also runs iOS 9.3.5, and installed Sweet MIDI Player. Without making any explicit settings, I noticed that it synchronized my playlists from the cloud. While playing around, I attempted to add a new playlist to my 9.3.5 device and got a message saying that I had exceeded the limit for the “lite” version of the software. Since I had previously purchased the “add-on” features that constitute the full version, I went ahead and restored my “in-app” purchase. This enabled me to create additional playlists on the 9.3.5 device and they were quickly synchronized to the other devices. This leads me to wonder whether you have the full suite of features installed on all of your devices? If so, have you tried building a new playlist on your iOS 9.3.5 device and checking to see if it shows up on your other devices? Using iMazing, I did note that one of my devices had a folder with the name of a playlist. Inside the folder were some files that were duplicates of files at the root level of the Documents folder. I suspect that an older version of iMazing used a different mechanism for creating playlists and this folder was created a long time ago when I first made a playlist. Perhaps, you have some remnants of this older playlist system which should be deleted. As for a product that would let you edit the plist: You won’t find one. I am an iOS developer, and I can tell you that with recent versions of iOS, Apple has locked down various areas of the iPad in order to keep them from prying eyes. For example, it used to be possible to view and even gain access to all sorts of app components. I’m sure most developers appreciate the fact that this is no longer possible. (I hasten to add that I personally enjoyed looking at the construction of other apps. I saw some weird stuff!) In particular, it would be a support nightmare for a developer if customers were editing plists themselves. These plists typically store all sorts of settings, and when they get messed up, the apps can crash or have other problems. In general, the best way to get rid of a problem plist is to delete and reinstall the app—despite the fact that that can be a pain. The only difference in what I've got and you is that my Ipad mini is older so 9.3.5 is the latest IOS I can get for it. I'm wondering if that is the trouble. I don't know anyone with a newer Ipad that I could test this out although it would seem that since my playlists are on the ipad mini, I still wouldn't be able to get them to a newer Ipad. > > Do you know of any product that would allow me to get into the files on the ipad where the plist is so I could just copy it directly? I used to do that on my older stuff but that went away with the latest IOS. I've been using Imazing but again now, I can't get to where the playlists are stored. > > Thanks again for your effort. > > Joe > > > > On Tuesday, January 10, 2017 11:30 AM, "'George F. I have about 800 songs and many playlists. I am able to get all the songs transferred to each device (iphone, ipad, ipod) but cannot get the playlists on each device. Roni Music says they are supposed to sync the playlists via i-cloud. On both my Ipad (where the playlists are) and the iphone are signed into the same i-cloud account and that seems to be working. SMP however will not sync. In the settings, both devices are set to allow sync. I have emailed with Roni Music and they do not have any suggestions. >> I have an Ipad Mini (9.3.5 latest) and my Iphone 5c (10.2). I have reset all the devices and re-logged into icloud on all.
