My DKC-850 connects to the internet and Disklavier Radio using an IP over powerline adaptor.....WiFi would connect, but was not reliable. If I recall correctly, I did have to manually enter the IP address (found from a desktop browser with the query "what is my IP".
I also use this connection to my network to move files from the PC to the DKC from/to folder.

I tried running the cable directly from the dkc-850 to the router and tried running the cable directly from dkc-850 to the modem and got the same bad result. Did not use a wireless connection. Tx.

James, how is your DKC-850 connect to the Internet? Is it connected by ethernet cable to the router and then by ethernet to the modem, or is there wi-fi somewhere in the data chain?Regards,PianoBenchOn Feb 18, 2017, at 10:10 PM, James McGowan hanfordjim@aol.com [disklavier] <disklavier@yahoogroups.com> wrote:Dear group:
I have a dkc-850 which plays midi files from USB drives flawlessly, but disklavier radio causes piano to stutter and stammer, do a flurry of notes at hyper speed, and then stops. The store where I bought the piano no longer services them, and I am sad. Please help!

Must've been the files themselves, unless I did something wrong? Basically I was on midiworld.com clicked to download some files to the desktop and then transferred to a thumb drive. Is there some software I need to run them through first?
Sent from my iPhoneDid you check that the track with the data is set to channel 1 or channel 4? I use Anvil Studio to edit the midi files and set the channel for playback on my disklavier. Hope this helps.
