The tempo of a piece can be altered as
follows:
NOTE: If the piece was recorded with METRONOME on
you will see beats-measures;if not, you will

1) Convert to SMF0 format
2) Copy the piece if you don't want to alter it permanently
3) Press RECORD
4) SONG SELECT to the piece you want to change
5) Press METRONOME.
; 6) Adjust tempo to where you want it (see NOTE above)
If the piece was recorded with METRONOME on, you can
adjust the tempo as beats per second; if not, you
adjust the tempo as a percentage - up to 200% as I
recall.
7) Press STOP and follow the menu.

This function can be used to record something as a slow tempo and then sped up to make you sound like a real pro!
