Why is it that whenever someone expresses an opinion, there are those who feel the necessity to criticize that someone for expressing it. Joe, there are likely to be a few who feel that the volume issue has been flogged to death, but that doesn't mean we don't think it is important to you. In my opinion, Joe should trade in his keypunch for a decent typewriter-style keyboard but, hey, that's only my opinion and nothing to get upset about. IT SEEMS ME THAT THE VOLUME OF E-MAILS ON THIS SUBJECT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. FOR YOU AND OTHERS WANT TO PRETEND THAT IT IS A NON-ISSUE AMOUNTS TO TELLING THOSE OF US W/ THE CONCERN TO BUZZ OFF. OBVIOUSLY YAMAHA HASN'T FIGURED OUT A GOOD SOLUTION AND IF YOU WERE READING THE CORRESPONDENCE CAREFULLY, YOU WOULD REALIZE, THAT SOME INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE OWNED DIFFERENT MODELS OR DIFFERENT GENERATIONS OF YAMAHA PIANO'S WITH DISKLAVIER ELECTRONICS HAVE NOTICED EXCESSIVE DIFFERENCES IN THE VOLUME ASSOCIATED WITH THE ELECTRONICS. ON PERSON FOUND THAT THE CHANGE FROM A LARGE GRAND TO A SMALLER GRAND W/ NEWER ELECTRONICS CAME WITH SUBSTANTIALLY LOUDER VOLUME AT LOWER LISTENING LEVELS ! I RESENT THIS PUREST ATTITUDE THAT SEEMS TO EXIST AND ACCEPTS THIS WITH A MY GOSH, THIS IS A GRAND PIANO, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ATTITUDE. WHAT I EXPECT IS THAT THE ELECTRONICS OUGHT TO BE ABLE TO MAKE THE PIANO PLAY AS SOFTLY AS IF A PERSON WERE AT THE PIANO. !!!
