If anyone has or can recomend a conversion program that would take a group of files (MIDI) and create and ESEQ disk I would appreciate it. I know I can do this on the Disklavier, but it would be easier on the comoputer ' Ron

Try Gary Giebler's Utility (YDM Diskette Manager), which he sells for $34.95. His URL is: http://www.giebler.com/ Regards, Mila

Salutations... I jave just created a new folder called Yoko Piano. I have uploaded 4 Zip files. Each one is a complete ESEQ Diskette. Yoko is a Japanese girl (10 years old?) She used to have a web site but it disapeared several months ago. There is a wide range of style. All were recorded on a Disklavier. Enjoy Ron

I'm brand new to both the DUG and this group, since I just bought my piano/Disklavier two weeks ago. Glad to find all these friendly people out there. Also glad to find volume discussions are BANNED from this one! [YAWN] Re the guy from Yamaha, in one of the DUG messages that he sent accidentally to someone, he didn't recommend the person buying some extra memory or add-on because it was so enormously overpriced, and he was honest enough to say that to the guy (and unknowingly to everone). I'm sure Yamaha's "DUG monitors" slapped him around for that one. But if he's honest, I definitely say "let him in". Also, re uploading - I have no collection of favorite disks laying on my piano YET since I'm still trying to figure out what buttons do what, but in time, my friends . . . Marie

I AM GLAD TO HEAR THAT WHAT EVER YOUR PERCEIVED INTERESTS ARE ( YAWN ), THAT THE OTHER USERS WILL FIND THEM MORE INTERESTING THAN THE VOLUME DISCUSSION. IT SEEMS ME THAT THE VOLUME OF E-MAILS ON THIS SUBJECT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. FOR YOU AND OTHERS WANT TO PRETEND THAT IT IS A NON-ISSUE AMOUNTS TO TELLING THOSE OF US W/ THE CONCERN TO BUZZ OFF. OBVIOUSLY YAMAHA HASN'T FIGURED OUT A GOOD SOLUTION AND IF YOU WERE READING THE CORRESPONDENCE CAREFULLY, YOU WOULD REALIZE, THAT SOME INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE OWNED DIFFERENT MODELS OR DIFFERENT GENERATIONS OF YAMAHA PIANO'S WITH DISKLAVIER ELECTRONICS HAVE NOTICED EXCESSIVE DIFFERENCES IN THE VOLUME ASSOCIATED WITH THE ELECTRONICS. ON PERSON FOUND THAT THE CHANGE FROM A LARGE GRAND TO A SMALLER GRAND W/ NEWER ELECTRONICS CAME WITH SUBSTANTIALLY LOUDER VOLUME AT LOWER LISTENING LEVELS ! I RESENT THIS PUREST ATTITUDE THAT SEEMS TO EXIST AND ACCEPTS THIS WITH A MY GOSH, THIS IS A GRAND PIANO, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ATTITUDE. WHAT I EXPECT IS THAT THE ELECTRONICS OUGHT TO BE ABLE TO MAKE THE PIANO PLAY AS SOFTLY AS IF A PERSON WERE AT THE PIANO. !!! Why is it that whenever someone expresses an opinion, there are those who feel the necessity to criticize that someone for expressing it. Joe, there are likely to be a few who feel that the volume issue has been flogged to death, but that doesn't mean we don't think it is important to you. In my opinion, Joe should trade in his keypunch for a decent typewriter-style keyboard but, hey, that's only my opinion and nothing to get upset about. YOU GOT SOMETHING AGAINST KEYPUNCHES???
2000-02-17 by Diane Rebbec
Hello! After waiting all day to be "approved", I've finally arrived at this site--as a bonafide member. Now what? I can't maneuver around! Went to the vault but got only messages 1-33 or 235-247. Didn't anything go on in between? I'm interested in Pop/Rock MIDI'S that feature piano, or at least have a substantial part for piano. I am looking for ensembles. Am I "baying at the moon", here? Is there no such thing? Thanks. dinycat
