Re: [disklavier] Re: How to convert Midi to ESEQ?

Hi Tim,Try this, as it is what i am using right now on my Win 10 PC.Buy a USB to MIDI interface off Ebay, About £3:59.They are all the same.Download Yamplayer from That Carolrpt link. The Download Link Is near the Top of the Web Page. When you have got your interface cable.Attach it to your PC/Laptop.Not sure if it will register in Device Manager without being plugged up to the MIDI Ports. But you will most likely have to search the Net for a suitable Driver. If it shows a Yellow triangle Issue In Device Manager.Hope you Know how to update. The driver correctly. You will know if you have.Because when you have installed Yamplayer. You will see the Viewcon in the drop down, of Play Thru.If all goes well then you can Play any Midi file straight from you PC/Laptop to the Diskclavier.Having the Midi ports at the front of the Piano is much easier for connecting to.The Model I had, had them on the back.It had almost the same Controller, with the Orange display as you describe.I now use this setup on my Kawai RX7 which as a Piano Disc system, but stills plays Midi/E-Seq files OK.I cannot remember How you select the Midi Ports on the Disklavier.Hope This Helps.
