Re: [disklavier] Canadian Acoustic Piano Purchases

2002-02-18 by Jack.Schueler@sybase.com

I have bought this way but then I'm a Canadian. The only concern I'd have
if I was a US citizen, is about obtaining service in the US for a model
purchased in Canada.

I'd imagine that with the Canadian dollar as low as it is, that a purchase
in Canada with US dollars is very attractive.

I believe that the Canadian pianos are manufactured in Japan. Is this true
for the US pianos (or are they manufactured in the US)?

I'm interested in buying a Yamaha piano (model not yet determined).
I've seen that the Canadian prices w/shipping are significantly
lower than in the US. Has anyone bought this way? What are your
experiences? Thanks, jb
