Good evening, everyone. Glen, I recommend that you get the Garritan CFX Concert Grand virtual piano from MakeMusic: https://www.garritan.com/products/cfx-concert-grand-virtual-piano/ It is a sample 9-foot Yamaha concert grand. Unlike most virtual pianos, it can actually be set to respond to incremental pedal data. You may want to play around with it’s velocity curve in order to get the results to match the playback of your piano. Regards, PianoBench > On Jul 12, 2019, at 5:50 PM, GDPERRY@... For editing I need local playback on my PC or laptop. But Windows 10 doesn't support MIDI. In the past, my PCs had sound cards which generated the MIDI voices (I think Creative Labs was an example). > > So, I think I need a media player which supports MIDI and a sound generator with decent sounding voices. > > Feel free to educate this old guy who just wants to edit MIDI files like he did before Windows 10 (Thank You, Microsoft). > > Glen Perry > > P.S. I have a USB to MIDI interface and I know how to play files on my Mark III from a laptop. I just want my PC or laptop to play MIDI files through their speakers as I edit and test the results. I've thought about resurrecting an old Windows 7 machine, but, it might need repairing and there is the lack of support by MS (Thanks again) and who has the space for another machine? > > In a message dated 7/9/2019 4:14:24 PM Central Standard Time, disklavier@yahoogroups.com <mailto:disklavier@yahoogroups.com> writes: > > > Are you using a DKV? > > An old model? > > Yes?
