PianoBench, I have been following the anticipated release of the PianoSmart technology (firmware upgrade for Mark III models) quite closely and find it an exciting development that will add greatly to the capabilities of my DC3A. It is my understanding based on conversations with my local Yamaha dealer (who first told me about PianoSmart when he returned from the NAMM show) that Yamaha will make recorded (on floppy disk) piano arrangements for a variety of commercially available CD's. It would be nice to know in advance of the release of the PianoSmart floppy disk software what some of these CD's will be so that I might purchase the CD's. . Are you aware of any list that Yamaha has made available of commercial CD's for which Yamaha will supply the piano arrangements as floppy disks? A second question is based on the fact that that Yamaha recently released a firmware upgrade for the Mark III disklavier. Do you know what features this firmware upgrade contained or addressed? Specifically do you know whether this firmware (dated March 12, 2002) contains the necessary upgrade to enable PianoSmart or will another firmware upgrade be necessary to enable PianoSmart? Thank you in advance. Tom
