Re: [disklavier] How to Use Finale to connect Disklavier

2002-06-09 by Tom Wheeler

Ting,

To use the To Host port for playing midi material from your computer on
your disklavier, you will need to download and install the appropriate
Yamaha CBX driver on your computer. The link for obtaining the Yamaha
driver is http://www.yamaha.com/ycaservice/group005/fgrop005.htm . You
will need to input the model number of your disklavier control unit
(found on the front of the control unit itself) and then select the
correct CBX driver for your computer's operating system. Then follow
the directions for installing the driver on your computer.

Once the driver is installed, go into Finale and select Midi Setup.
Within Midi Setup select the Yamaha CBX driver that you just installed.
You should then be able to use Finale to play back either midi files or
Finale .mus files direclty on your disklavier.
