Harry, I have found Veloset to be a good tool to adjust max volumes for MIDI, ESEQ, and some other file types as contained on the file type pick list within the program. Veloset is a macro tool that appears to allow setting all of the volume controllers at once, by manipulating the sliders on either side. (Caution: saving the new settings overwrites the original file.) If you want to change individual channels, you will be better off using a sequencer such as Cakewalk; there may also be some freeware that will do it. If you're thinking about trying to integrate veloset functions into an automated flow from laptop to piano, you probably will have get access to the source code. I would thinnk some of the more sophisticated PC-based MIDI players out there would incorpporate similar functionality.
