My experience with a sound which wasn't supposed to be there was detected and corrected by my tech on his first visit. The first time, it was due to the fact that the push rod from the sustain pedal did not sit properly in the the "cup" (or fitting) that it connects to...thus causing a rattle/thump. The second time was when he found a pencil which somehow found its way onto the desk of the piano. ...thought i'd relay my experience...good luck. m wong ----- Original Message ----- From: "rick.conti" <rickconti@...> To: <disklavier@...> Sent: Wednesday, August 28, 2002 1:55 PM Subject: [disklavier] DGT2IIXG thumping noise > For lack of a better explanation - when I depress the sustain pedal and hit > a key from near left of middle C up I hear a distinct thumping sound after > the sound of the note.
