If you have a 486 laptop running Windows 95, it does not support USB. Only Windows 98 Second Edition and later supports USB. I think my Midiman parallel interface cost about $85. That's the nice thing about keeping around an old laptop - they work great with a Disklavier, and you have native DOS to format 720k disks and run the dkvutilities.
