I only see two benefits. One of them is to use Home Concert - a program that provides accompaniment for your own piano playing. The other benefit is to be able to use the Disklavier in the event your floppy disk drive fails. Using a computer, with appropriate software, allows you to organize your song library and create playlists. If you were having a party, you wouldn't have to bother with changing a floppy disk every half hour or so.
