I have here an article I saved from the Octobr 13, 1997 issue of Web Week magazine. There's a long article about Yamaha's Global JukeBox, and a picture of the Yamaha Artist Services office in Manhattan. The subtitle says, "Eric Johnson built a Web site for Yamaha to extend the technology of the company's digital Disklavier Grand pianos." Here's some more info; it seems the MIDI files were searchable in an IBM DB2 database: http://www.visionnet.com/pdf/YamahaGlobalMusic.pdf The Web site www.globaljukebox.com doesn't seem to exist anymore. But what happened to it and all its contents? Where's the database? There must be MIDI files on a hard disk somewhere. Who can tell the story here? Thanks - John Q.
