Sigh. Yet more interesting classical performances, captured in low- res mode. Wasn't a Disklavier "Pro" available? Couldn't the recordings have been made in high-res (XP Mode)? High-res recordings from Pros can obviously be played just fine on regular Disklaviers. But, if the extra high-res data is never captured, it's lost forever to the world. This makes me sad. Basic digital: If you record in low-res, you can't make it high-res again. But, if you record in high-res, you can always "down-convert" it to low-res. How can I encourage the usage of Yamaha's best technology for such recordings in the future? - John Q.
