I have a Gran Touch (purchased almost three years ago) and DCD1. The control unit is the DKC500RW. Will the Smart PianoSoft upgrade work with this set-up? The DCD1 is currently hooked up to my stereo system across the room from the piano. I string a MIDI cable across the room when I want to use it. About a year ago, M-Audio (then Midiman) announced a wireless MIDI system called the Midair, which uses Bluetooth. It was billed to have a range of 50 feet. Since then, the product has been delayed. Have you heard any news about this product, and do you know whether it would work with the DCD1 and the control unit (in lieu of the MIDI cable)? Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: <PianoBench@...> To: <dug@...>; <disklavier@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Monday, January 20, 2003 12:38 AM Subject: [disklavier] DCD1 Upgrade > Good evening, everyone. > > This week, Yamaha announced at the NAMM (National Association of Music > Merchants) show that it will be providing a feature update to the DCD1 so > that it can play Smart PianoSoft software when used with a compatible > Disklavier control unit.
