To my knowledge, the DKC500RX will not work on any Mark II. The DSR1 does 
have a tone generator which includes the old Yamaha DOC sound set (for 
compatibility with old PIanoSoft Plus recordings), General MIDI (GM), and XG 
(Yamaha's extended version of the GM sound set.
