I have an MX88, which I believe has the same operating system as Don's
MX80.  Mine will play midi files from my laptop via the MIDI IN port on the
back of the DKV control unit.  I use a Mac laptop, but I don't see why that
should change anything. I use ELogic's MicroLogic AV as a sequencer, since
it lets me change midi channels and velocity settings. You are right,
Carol, that the floppy disc drive on the control unit will only play (and
record) ESEQ files, but I record midi files on my laptop via the DKV's MIDI
OUT, thus bypassing the whole problem of ESEQ.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
