After re-reading your note, I believe you must be referring to the power 
supply, not the front-mounted control unit, as the source heat.  The PS 
wouldn't be so easy to move.  An installed humidifier/de-humidifier, 
such as a Dampp-Chaser, would help maintain the humidity beneath the 
piano at 42%.  However, it just might be a good idea to cut the power to 
the PS when the DKV is not in use so as to help keep the humidity across 
the sound board more uniform.  You would need to switch it off at the 
PS, not from the On/Off switch on the controller.
