I opened it to check the disk drive: It is a Mitsubishi MF355-E-492MD. The connector is a double 26 pin type for a 'flat cable'. I got the idea to compare it with the one from my old laptop (6 years old). It has a disk drive with exactly the same connector as the one from the disklavier. It is very thin too and the case looks similar. I did not test it in the disklavier, but I will keep it as a spare part. Of course I am not shure now whether it will work. To find it out I have to investigate for technical details. Regards Bernhard Schmidt
