Here are a few things to try: 1) Check the volume control button on the DCD1. The piano won't play if this setting is too low. 2) On the back of the DCD1, check the piano type switch. It should be set to DKV. 3) Are you playing a Yamaha PianoSoft disk, or a disk with MIDI files? If it is a MIDI file, the piano keys only play whatever data is on Channel 1 or 2. Set Piano Part L=1, R=prg using the Function key. 4) When the song is playing, are either the L or R buttons blinking? Make sure neither button is pushed thereby cancelling the piano keys. 5) If a PianoSoft disk won't play the keys, then just do a Reset.
