Disklavier

This is my first post so please excuse any clumsiness stating 
funcitons of the piano.

I have a DC3Pro with a DKC500RW control unit.  I also have the 
DCD1.  

The technician came and installed the EMK1 a couple days ago.  Today 
I tried to play from a diskette and the piano does not play.  The 
accompanyment plays fine but the keys do not move.

The cables are all correctly connected.  The problem is in the 
configuration of the new DKC500RW board to recognize the piano.

I have searched the Yamaha site but can not find any insturctions to 
do the configuration.  

I have out of town guests comming and want to play and record on the 
piano tomorrow.

Help ASAP!

I'm on the run, but look in your owner's manual.  You need to turn the keybd 
out to ON.  Like PIanoBench says, you can make the MIDI go out from the 
keys, and there is another MIDI out that makes the keys play from a floppy.  
It's just a matter of finding the switch.

Here are a few things to try:

1) Check the volume control button on the DCD1.  The piano won't play if 
this setting is too low.

2) On the back of the DCD1, check the piano type switch.  It should be set 
to DKV.

3) Are you playing a Yamaha PianoSoft disk, or a disk with MIDI files?  If 
it is a MIDI file, the piano keys only play whatever data is on Channel 1 or 
2.  Set Piano Part L=1, R=prg using the Function key.

4) When the song is playing, are either the L or R buttons blinking?  Make 
sure neither button is pushed thereby cancelling the piano keys.

5) If a PianoSoft disk won't play the keys, then just do a Reset.

Is there a problem playing Yamaha-published Disklavier software or is the 
problem with non-Yamaha sofware? If it is the latter, there is an easy fix.

I just found out that it is the PK board which has failed.  A new 
one is on the way.
