Re: [disklavier] website for recording disklavier files onto Audio CD

2003-06-22 by PianoBench@aol.com

Good afternoon, everyone.

In a message dated 5/24/03 4:13:00 PM, Sean writes:

<< I once found a website where some people were advertising a service

as follows: you record whatever songs you like onto a floppy disk

with your own disklavier, then you mail this company the disk, and

they'll play it pack on their own disklavier in a professional

recording studio, and mail you an Audio CD with your songs on it.

Unfortunately I lost the website when my computer crashed

(surprise). Does anyone know the name of this website, or know

anything similar? Thanks. >>

I know someone who wanted to do something similar: record on a Clavinova
digital piano and have a studio make an audio CD using the Disklavier to play the
recording. I sent him an email. I have pasted his response below.

Happy to respond--I've been very pleased with the work of the above David
Kreisberg. I've recorded 2 CDs with his help. He's consciencious, timely,
professional, reasonably priced. To clarify one thing, I took the master CD
he sent me to a professional recording studio engineer and had it
"mastered"--ambience, effects added, etc. (The master CD I got from David
was dry--no reverb, etc.) I think David uses a 9 foot Yamaha disklavier, it
sounds wonderful to me!

You can sample his work by checking out MP3's on my web-site: The first
2 CDs listed are his work (Eagles' Wings and Quiet Classics) The url is:
