Disklavier

I am on a trip at the moment and away from a Disklavier, but I'll give it a 
try from memory.

--press Record
--press the right arrow button to get to the next screen. I think that the 
cursor will be in front of track 1.
--push the + button repeatedly to increase the track number up to 16. Then, 
go one increment further and you will see MDR.
--lastly, push Play then start MIDI playback from your external sequencer.
--press Stop when you are done.

MDR stands for MIDI Data Record. When you are in this mode, the Disklavier 
records all incoming MIDI data on all 16 MIDI channels.

If you turn on the Remote In feature on the Disklavier, you will not have to 
press the Play button on your Disklavier. Assuming that your sequencer is set 
up to send remote commands, pressing Play on your sequencer will 
simultaneously engage Play on the Disklavier. Be sure that your sequence has a setup 
measure with no notes at the beginning if you use the Remote feature.
