All Disklaviers a made in Japan. However, only certain models are for sale in the United States and have UL approval. If you live in the U.S. you will not be able to get electronic parts or service for a Disklavier that is not one of those approved models - otherwise known as a gray market item. If this is an MX100 and not an MX100IIXG you don't even need an English rom chip as you would have no programmable or upgradable choices anyway.
