Hi, I'm new to this group, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth. I looked at Yamaha/Disklavier systems and thought they were very nice, BUT, when I compared the features of them vs. PianoDisc vs. price and the ability to have the PianoDisc installed on an older piano e.g. Steinway or Knabe for rough half of a Yamaha the choice was clear and I went the Pianodisc route. I'm on my second PianoDisc system now. My first was on a Baldwin spinet and now I have a 128+ on a 7' Chickering in Brazilian rosewood. It plays beautifully and I only have about $11.5 in it. Also the PianoDisc has the ability to play other makers discs as well as MIDI from a computer. At the time I was looking Yamaha did not, which limits your selection of music. I was advised that the system that QRS sells is not nearly as responsive as either Yamaha's or PianoDisc's however. Thanks! Jim
