Hello all, I had posted a few months ago about a thermostat error that I was getting on my new DC2A. Just wanted to offer some follow up: Had the Yamaha tech out, and he worked the piano over pretty thoroughly. He thought there was a misalignment in the sensor for the pedal, as well as the shift wasn't working right, and that may have caused it to overheat. It did well for a couple of months, then started doing it again (Thermostat: Piano Power Off error.) Another service call, had a new thermostat soldered in on the pedal solenoid, but still had the problem. Then a new circuit board, checked the other two thermostats as well. Didn't quite do it. Tech made several calls to Yamaha and lots of people were stumped. Finally, had another service call, installed a new solenoid/thermostat combo and it's been fine since. I don't know if one or the other was defective, but I'm glad to report that Yamaha was great through the whole process and if anyone is looking for a good Disklavier tech in St. Louis, I've got one. Just wanted to give a little follow up. Thanks! Amanda Heidemann __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
