The original GranTouch DGT2IIXG released in July 1997 had 4Mbits of flash memory and had the DKC500R control box. When it was upgraded 2 years later with Smart key, it had 8Mbits of flash memory and came with the DKC500RW control box. The DGT2A is the same petite GranTouch digital piano with a MarkIII Disklavier with a CD player. The D means disklavier, the GT2 means GranTouch (petite electronic grand), and the A means is a MarkIII with a CD drive. To answer your question, I thought these had always been referred to for short as "DGT2".
