I had a similar problem with my Disklavier control unit floppy drive (I have the DSR1). I called Yamaha and they sent me a floppy drive for free (Mine is 4 years old). It is not very difficult to replace it. The only problem is the instruction is in Japanese but I can still figured it out by just looking at the pictures.
