Fraser,

I recall seeing one of those "forever" notes in a file you sent me. 
Because it shows up in the file, the problem is in the record function 
of your DKV (not in the reproduction function).  As I once mentioned, 
generally record misbehavior "goes away" from my DKV when I cycle the 
power off and on again.  Given the frequency and consistency of your 
problem however, I recommend you call a qualified Yamaha DKV tech to 
correct it.

Using the built-in test and maintainance modes, your tech should be able 
to put her finger on the problem. Your DKV is quite new, as I 
recall--Yamaha should cover that work under warranty.
