RE: [disklavier] Re: Problem with conversion using ESEQ2MIDI

There is a command line tool in XP (or other versions of Windows) called
DISKCOPY.exe. You can use it to make copies of 720K or 1.44M floppy
discs. I downloaded a couple of discs from yamahamusicsoft.com and I
was able to make copies of them with the DISKCOPY.exe command. This
tool does a blind copy so it ignores the first sector (with a bunch of
F6's). I haven't tried but I think it would work for other "copy
protected" discs.

BTW, if you have a hard time finding 720K discs, or want to just use
regular 1.44M discs, just use some non-clear tape to tape over one of
the holes on a 1.44M disc and reformat it to 720K.

Hi

Are these files ones that you have downloaded using Yamaha's download
program?
If so then you would have used a 1.4Meg floppy. If this IS correct
then dkvcopy will only work in DOS AND on a 720K disk NOT a 1.4Meg.
Also then you use their download program it changes it disk so that
the PC will not read it.

There is a program coming soon that will help. But in the meantime
mail me direct for further help.
