>You can probably run the program from the NTFS partition but may need to put the data files on the FAT partition. I have done this several times. Right now, I have some MID files tha came from Yamaha FD (.fil) on my hard disk. I did the conversion under XP using giebler utilities. Both one to upload from FD to Hardisk and one to convert from giebler format of ESEQ (not .FIL but .Yxx something I always erase this work files) to .MID Hope this helps The problem is not with yamaha old DD FDs in old pianos, is with Microsoft deciding not to support this media any more. --- In disklavier@yahoogroups.com, Spencer Chase <spencer@m...> wrote: > Greetings Carol, > > Wednesday, October 29, 2003, 4:31:49 PM, you wrote: > > How can you tell how your XP system is CB> formatted? > > If you installed xp on a new machine it is probably NTFS. >
