Thanks Carol.
One thing you mentioned has me concerned.
Why can't the Mark I play standard midi files from floppy?
Can it play midi files in any version from floppy?
I have been downloading like crazy some great midi files from the 
Internet, all the time looking forward to having them play on my 
Disklavier.  Not the case?
Or, are you simply stating that I'll have to go through more trouble 
by first converting format 0 to format 1 or vice versa?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
