...But an MX-100 can play MIDI from 720k floppies with the latest firmware. I rang Yamaha in Japan and they sent me the latest firmware chip (to the UK) for the princely sum of $4 including shipping. Plug this chip in in place of the existing one in the control box (not too tricky really) and it will play MIDI files from floppy...
