Good afternoon, everyone, and greetings from the 2nd Piano-e-Competition preliminaries in Paris.

In a message dated 12/11/03 9:28:48 AM, Charles writes:

Out of interest to us outsiders here, could you clarify this
comment? There are some missing messages, and no sign of
any "pricing discussion fiasco" on this group.

The sender of the message to which you refer had started similar discussions on both the Yamaha-sponsored group (DUG) and this group and sent the same comment to both lists. He may not realize the differences between the two groups and kindly addressed his recent comments to both.

On another subject, I am delighted to tell you that Piano-e-Competition preliminaries have been taking place on Disklavier in Paris, New York, LA, and Hamamatsu this week and last week. I am quite convinced that the level of competition is even higher this time. You have some excellent performances to look forward to in the future. The tentative plan is to make them available in late January as SMF in XP mode and E-SEQ in Enhanced mode.

Regards,
PianoBench
